ThermoFisher is seeking a highly skilled Systems Analyst II to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for analyzing, documenting, and prioritizing business requirements in collaboration with key users, process owners, and business leaders.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze and document current-state and future-state business processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Design and implement process improvements and system enhancements that align with ThermoFisher, industry, and application standard processes.
- Prepare IT investment proposals and demonstrate the value of IT investments in financial and strategic terms to business and IT leadership.
- Improve the utilization of existing business applications and technologies to meet business requirements and to improve and leverage of IT assets.
- Perform data analysis using queries and ad-hoc reporting tools to inform business decisions.
- Document application work instructions and training materials to ensure knowledge transfer and consistency.
- Provide periodic classroom training on supported systems and changes to systems to ensure user adoption and proficiency.
- Provide day-to-day application support to key users, troubleshooting technical issues and engaging with third-party suppliers as needed.
- Solve complex technical application and data issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues efficiently.
- Communicate and collaborate with users to analyze information needs and functional requirements, ensuring effective solutions that meet business needs.
- Liaise between the business, technology teams, and support teams to ensure seamless communication and issue resolution.
- Follow company's Global IT Policies & Procedures to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Lead projects, driving initiatives from conception to delivery, and ensuring successful outcomes.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to analyze complex systems and solve technical issues.
- Enhanced PC knowledge and abilities, with experience applying Microsoft products and Cloud experience beneficial.
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed organization, with strong analytical and project management skills.
- Strong ERP AS/400 (System i) experience with Infor XA (MAPICS), with 5+ years' experience preferred.
- Experience in Discrete Manufacturing, with GxP experience preferred.
- Able to explain and champion technical concepts to a broad audience, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
