About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Children's Continence Nurse Advisor to join our team at Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust. As a key member of our Continence Service, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children and young people with continence issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and young people with continence issues, including bladder and bowel dysfunction.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to promote continence and guide toileting.
  • Provide specialist clinical advice and guidance to parents, carers, and education staff to support children and young people with continence issues.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care and support for children and young people with continence issues.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of training programs for staff, families, and carers to promote continence and support children and young people with continence issues.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with current professional registration with the NMC.
  • Experience of working with children and young people with continence issues, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND).
  • Knowledge of children's continence issues and the ability to provide specialist clinical advice and guidance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and support.
