We are currently looking for dedicated Support & Care Specialists for full-time positions, primarily during the day (with potential night shifts as needed - 39 hours per week on a rotating schedule), at our Strode Park Foundation facility. Role OverviewAs a Support and Care Specialist at Strode Park Foundation, your responsibilities will include:
- Enhancing the health and well-being of young individuals by delivering comprehensive personal care.
- Ensuring that all personal and emotional care needs of the young individuals are fully addressed.
- Maximizing their experiences and developmental opportunities, encouraging independence and personal growth.
- Assisting in organizing activities, outings, and vacations, and accompanying the young individuals as necessary.
- Contributing to the overall management of the facility, maintaining cleanliness and adhering to health and safety standards.
As a member of the Strode Park Foundation team, you will receive robust support from day one, along with training and development opportunities to enhance your skills.
Strode Park Foundation specializes in providing care for young individuals with disabilities. Our residential facility offers a balance of privacy and community engagement.
Shift Patterns at Strode Park Foundation:
- Split Shift - 6:30 AM – 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Late Shift - 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Early Shift - 6:30 AM – 10:00 AM
- Long Day - 7:30 AM – 8:00 PM
- Nights - 7:30 PM – 8:00 AM
Our organization provides care around the clock, seven days a week, including weekends and holidays. We value reliable and adaptable staff and are open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
Key QualificationsThe ideal candidate for the Support and Care Specialist role will:
- Communicate effectively with young individuals, tailoring interactions to their unique needs.
- Demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality care and support, fostering independence and enjoyment for our service users.
- Exhibit initiative in developing engaging activities and events for the young individuals.
- Possess the confidence to work independently while seeking guidance when necessary.
- Communicate clearly and appropriately in both verbal and written forms with colleagues and external parties.
- Hold a Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care or an equivalent qualification, or be willing to pursue this certification.
While not mandatory, having a driving license would be advantageous, especially given the rural setting of our facility.
