Individual Support Teaching Assistant


A reputable and supportive Primary School is in search of a dedicated and enthusiastic graduate to become part of their committed educational team.

As an Individual Support Teaching Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to provide tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD), and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), ensuring equitable access to learning opportunities for all.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Engaging in a collaborative and positive school environment
  • Delivering assistance both inside and outside the classroom
  • Supporting educators in presenting instructional materials to students of varying abilities
  • Contributing to Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1), and Key Stage 2 (KS2)
  • Providing individualized and small group support to children with SEN

Position Overview:

Location: Newham
Compensation: £105 - £110 per day
Schedule: Monday to Friday, Full-Time, Long-Term

  • A graduate with a degree from a recognized institution
  • A caring individual with a proactive mindset
  • Experience working with children, particularly those with SEN/SEMH needs
  • A willingness to engage actively in the educational process
  • A strong enthusiasm for learning and development
