Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Primary School Support

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a prestigious primary school in Newham. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of our students, working closely with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students, including one-on-one and small group work, to help them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
  • Assist in creating and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to promote an inclusive and positive classroom environment, supporting the social, emotional, and academic growth of our students.
  • Help children build their academic, social, and emotional skills, tracking and reporting progress to teachers and parents as needed.
  • Assist with managing classroom behavior and ensuring a positive learning atmosphere.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in a similar role.
  • A caring, patient, and compassionate approach to supporting children.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with staff and parents.
  • A commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive environment where every child can flourish.
