Numatic International, a leading manufacturer of professional cleaning equipment, is expanding its operations and seeking a skilled Electromagnetic Compatibility Engineer to join its R&D team.

About the Role:

As an EMC Engineer, you will provide technical guidance and support to product design teams, ensuring compliance with global product standards.

You will work collaboratively with external suppliers and testing organizations to coordinate and manage test programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product design teams to ensure compliance with global product standards.
  • Coordinate and manage test programs with external suppliers and testing organizations.
  • Lead a small team of Specialist Engineers/Technicians.
  • Ensure compliance testing activities run smoothly using effective planning and reporting tools.
  • Collate data for inclusion into technical files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with FCC, UL, CE, LVD, Machinery Directive, EMC, RoHS, and REACH.
  • Assist in the management of the certification library of approved products.
  • Identify and communicate compliance risks/issues effectively.
  • Assist in the development of training modules and delivering guidance to internal teams.

About You:

  • HNC/HND level in a relevant Electrical/Electronic engineering discipline or significant experience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of EMC testing and challenges (Emissions/Immunity) on domestic/commercial products.
  • Good understanding of domestic/commercial product compliance to international standards.
  • Experience of operating/working in an EMC SAC/FAC chamber.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and clearly communicate requirements.
  • Previous experience within a product compliance/regulatory role.
  • An understanding of electrical/electronic engineering fundamentals.
