About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Engineer to join our innovative and talented R&D team at Numatic International. As an important member of our compliance team, you will provide technical guidance and support to ensure our products comply with global product standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with external suppliers and testing organizations to coordinate and manage test programs.
  • Work with the R&D team to ensure new products meet compliance requirements.
  • Lead a small team of Specialist Engineers/Technicians.
  • Ensure compliance testing activities run smoothly using effective planning and reporting tools.
  • Collate data for inclusion in technical files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with FCC, UL, CE, LVD, Machinery Directive, EMC, RoHS, and REACH standards.
  • Manage the certification library of approved products.
  • Identify and communicate compliance risks and issues.
  • Develop and deliver training modules to internal teams.
Requirements
  • HNC/HND level in Electrical/Electronic engineering or significant experience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of EMC testing and challenges (Emissions/Immunity) on domestic/commercial products.
  • Good understanding of domestic/commercial product compliance to international standards.
  • Experience operating/working in an EMC SAC/FAC chamber.
  • Experience in internal auditing and management (ISO 9001, 17025).
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and clearly communicate requirements.
  • Previous experience in a product compliance/regulatory role.
  • Understanding of electrical/electronic engineering fundamentals.
