About the Role


  1. Ensure the highest standards of health and safety are maintained in all work carried out, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.
  2. Perform planned preventative maintenance on a wide range of equipment across the site, minimizing downtime and ensuring optimal performance.
  3. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, communicate effectively with affected teams, and work efficiently to resolve issues.
  4. Contribute to continuous improvement by analyzing breakdowns, providing feedback, and suggesting improvements through your line manager.
  5. Deliver high levels of equipment availability to our internal customers, ensuring their needs are met.
  6. Collaborate with and learn from Senior Reliability Engineering Technicians to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  7. Manage contractors effectively to ensure seamless execution of maintenance tasks.

Requirements


  • Hold a full engineering indentured apprenticeship and/or a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification (with satisfactory Guided Learning Hours).
  • Be multi-skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
  • Have experience with planned preventative maintenance systems.
  • Be proficient in fault finding within MHE/Automation systems.
  • Be able to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Have experience in conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Apprentice Trained, HNC, HND, BSc, BEng.
  • Experience with high voltage switching.
  • Experience with sortation machines.
  • Experience in maintaining/configuring bar code scanners.
  • Experience with print and apply machines.
  • Experience in fault finding on building equipment (HVAC, Dock Doors, plumbing, and general building maintenance tasks).
