Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Castle View Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant by carrying out planned preventative maintenance activities, undertaking repairs, and contributing to system improvements.
Main Responsibilities- Preventative Maintenance: Carry out regular maintenance activities to maximise plant reliability and prevent breakdowns.
- Repair and Maintenance: Undertake planned and emergency repairs in a safe and timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- System Improvements: Contribute to the development of new processes and procedures, and take responsibility for organising safety checks and inspections.
- Inventory Management: Maintain stock levels of machinery spares and consumables, ensuring that all necessary materials are available when needed.
- Fault Finding: Carry out fault finding and diagnostics in emergency breakdown situations, identifying and resolving issues quickly and efficiently.
- Health and Safety: Implement best practice H&S measures and assist in the development and improvement of existing maintenance procedures.
- Contractor Control: Assume responsibility for contractor control on site, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards.
The successful candidate will have served a recognised apprenticeship in either mechanical or electrical engineering, and be qualified to 17th or 18th edition wiring regulations. Pneumatics, hydraulics, and PLC experience would be advantageous, as would experience in installations and project commissioning. Previous experience of electrical maintenance within a processing or manufacturing environment is also desirable.
BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience, and the opportunity to work with a dynamic and forward-thinking company. A drug and alcohol test will be required by the client before the candidate will be accepted for the role.
