The Actuary Group is seeking a highly skilled Longevity and Reinsurance Actuary to join our client, a leading UK provider of insurance and savings solutions with over 100 years of experience.

Our client strives to simplify the life and pensions journey for everyone involved, leveraging their expertise and trusted financial experience to deliver exceptional outcomes.

We are looking for a fully qualified actuary with extensive experience in longevity and a strong understanding of UK Defined Benefit Pensions and reinsurance structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead projects related to longevity, assumption setting, and capital models
  • Collaborate with the Origination team and pension schemes to design and administer capital-efficient solutions that effectively manage risk
  • Oversee the technical aspects of models and experience analysis, including development, implementation, calibration, and testing
  • Contribute to the risk management function from a BPA perspective
  • Perform ad hoc tasks as required
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of capital modelling and profit testing
  • Experience in mortality analysis and assumption setting
  • Excellent knowledge of UK Defined Benefit Pensions and reinsurance structures
  • Experience working within the Actuarial Function of a UK Life assurer
