About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a range of nursing and psychosocial interventions to help reduce patients' distress. You will work closely with general hospital colleagues to make decisions about treatment and care in complex situations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-level nursing and observation to patients with complex mental health needs.
- Deliver nursing and psychosocial interventions to help reduce patients' distress.
- Assist and support general hospital colleagues in making decisions about treatment and care in complex situations.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- RMN NMC registration.
- Knowledge of working therapeutically with individuals following self-harm.
- Knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and the Mental Health Act and their use in the general hospital.
- Knowledge of the clinical and demographic risk factors associated with self-harm and suicide.
