Primarily office-based with occasional site visits and up to 2 days of remote work per week.

Qualifications & Experience Required:
A minimum of 5 years' experience is essential, ideally with a degree or a completed apprenticeship. Demonstrable experience in designing for hazardous area installations is required, with CompEX EX01-EX04 and/or EX12 modules being advantageous. Familiarity with gas analytical and metering systems is a plus but not mandatory. Knowledge of electrical installations in accordance with the latest standards is necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design: Create clear and comprehensive drawing and document packages, reviewing existing documentation with meticulous attention to detail. Assist in compiling functional design specifications and FAT/SAT documents for analytical and metering systems.
  • Calculations: Perform cable calculations, I.S Loop Calculations (DSDs), AC and DC load schedules, lighting calculations, and thermal capacity calculations, ensuring their precision.
  • Guidance & Representation: Mentor junior EC&I design engineers while confidently representing the organization in client interactions.
  • Collaborative Approach: Work closely with site-based and commissioning engineers, contributing to a comprehensive project perspective.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for enhancement and propose solutions for increased efficiency.
  • Commissioning Support: Provide expertise during pre-FAT and FAT phases related to EC&I matters.
