About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join our team at Belmont Secondary School. As a SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a wide range of needs, including physical disabilities, sensory impairments, speech and language difficulties, learning difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach students with SEN in a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Collaborate with the classroom teacher and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to student support
  • Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to engage students and promote learning
  • Assess and monitor student progress, and make adjustments to instruction as needed
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure a collaborative approach to student support

Requirements

  • Qualified teacher with a degree in Special Education or a related field
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
