Immunisation Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Immunisation Nurse to join our team in delivering the Neonatal Hepatitis B vaccination programme in a specified locality.
Main Responsibilities:- Conduct home visits to assess and vaccinate eligible babies at the age of 4 weeks and 12 months old, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of the programme.
- Provide guidance and support to parents on the pre-requisites and contra-indications of Hepatitis B immunisation.
- Contribute to the identification and protection of children at risk of abuse, adhering to local Safeguarding Children's Board guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of statutory and mandatory training, including BLS, Anaphylaxis, and Immunisation.
- Support and mentor junior staff members, promoting collaborative working with parents, carers, and families.
- Facilitate effective communication with stakeholders to provide a coordinated service for the community.
- Ensure confidentiality and maintain legible, contemporaneous records.
- Comply with relevant regulations, organisational, and national guidance, as well as VUK policy documents.
- Participate in clinical governance activities to ensure best practice.
- Provide advice and support on other missed or overdue childhood vaccinations for eligible babies.
- Escalate issues, risks, or clinical incidents to management.
