Job Title: Security Assurance Engineer for Product Development


Location: Warton / Hybrid


Salary: £47,683 – £60,326 (Commensurate with skills and experience)


Role Overview:


The Security Assurance Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring that products meet stringent security standards throughout their lifecycle. This position involves close collaboration with various engineering disciplines to uphold the Secure by Design policy objectives.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Facilitating engagement with the relevant International Government Organisation to ensure compliance with security protocols.
  • Contributing to the assurance processes necessary for obtaining Security Authority to Operate for the product systems.
  • Identifying and interpreting the security assurance requirements set forth by the Ministry of Defence.
  • Developing comprehensive plans to address these requirements across the programme.
  • Overseeing internal reviews of assurance deliverables to ensure quality and compliance.

Essential Skills and Experience:


  • A degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience demonstrating a solid understanding of the Engineering Lifecycle.
  • Proven experience in a systems integration environment.
  • Familiarity with security accreditation and assurance processes, with additional knowledge of airworthiness or quality processes being advantageous.

Desirable Skills:


  • Experience with Model Based Engineering methodologies and associated tools.
