Job Title: Production Line Manager

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly experienced Production Line Manager to join our team in the UK Defence business. As a key member of our Hardware Engineering team, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the production team in the successful manufacture of control systems within the defence industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own, manage and maintain company and programme specific processes and procedures to enable successful manufacture.
  • Own production progress reports provided by the team and communicate across functions along with external stakeholders including suppliers and customers.
  • Lead and provide support to production team across multiple disciplines and projects.
  • Lead process improvements within both the department and the company aligning with practice panels.
  • Control change management in the event of customer, supplier or internal design changes throughout production phases.
  • Direct line management responsibilities for a team of Engineers – including tasks such as career development, talent management, performance management, resource and leave management.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience as a manufacturing/production engineer.
  • Ability to work independently on own initiative, as well as within a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a complex and rapidly changing environment.
  • Prior experience of cabinet wiring and installation.
  • Understanding and working knowledge of electrical build standards.
  • IPC certified.
