About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at ESS, a leading provider of food and support services to the Defence, Government, and Energy sectors. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for leading our culinary team in delivering exceptional food experiences to our clients and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Development: Develop and implement new menu concepts that meet the needs of our clients and customers.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of chefs and kitchen staff to ensure the smooth operation of our kitchens.
  • Food Quality: Ensure that all food served meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels to ensure that our kitchens are well-stocked and that we minimize waste.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our clients and customers, responding to their feedback and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Culinary Qualifications: Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent in culinary arts.
  • Leadership Experience: Have experience leading a team of chefs and kitchen staff.
  • Culinary Skills: Possess excellent culinary skills, including cooking, presentation, and menu planning.
  • Food Safety: Hold a Food Hygiene certificate and have a good understanding of food safety regulations.
  • Flexibility: Be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
