About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at ESS, a leading provider of food and support services to the Defence, Government, and Energy sectors. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional food experiences to our clients and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Development: Create and implement menus that meet the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate a team of chefs and kitchen staff to ensure seamless food service delivery.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the ordering and storage of ingredients and supplies to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to feedback and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • Culinary Qualifications: Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent in culinary arts.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in supervising a team and leading kitchen operations.
  • Culinary Skills: Possess advanced culinary skills, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Food Safety Certification: Hold a Food Hygiene certificate and maintain a strong understanding of food safety regulations.
