About the Role

Cerise Healthcare is seeking exceptional Support Workers to join our team in providing support to Adults with Learning Disabilities in our Supported Living Services across Newcastle and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist service users with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Manage challenging behavior and provide a safe and supportive environment
  • Assist with finances, including budgeting and bill payment
  • Prompt and assist with medication administration
  • Assist with cooking and meal preparation
  • Help with household chores, including cleaning and laundry
  • Accompany service users to social events and activities
  • Support service users in accessing the community and participating in activities
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with individuals with challenging behavior
  • Basic numeracy skills and ability to manage finances
  • Current DBS on the update service or willingness to undertake one
  • Recent UK-based experience in healthcare or social care
  • Good understanding of written and verbal English
  • Punctuality and reliability
  • Knowledge of Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults (SOVA)
