PERSON SPECIFICATION

We seek a full-time Account Manager with robust public relations expertise who is proactive, dedicated, and enthusiastic. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a driven professional to establish themselves as a mid-level leader within our organization, contributing to our growth and strategic direction.

A solid grasp of the UK media landscape, along with PR strategy and methodologies, is essential. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for the design and creative sectors, as well as a strong understanding of the digital media environment and its integration into comprehensive communication strategies.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in TDC PR's ongoing success, focusing on client account management and the supervision of junior team members, while also engaging in strategic business development.

This position will report to TDC PR's senior management team, collaborating to manage our client roster and uphold the high standards and collaborative ethos that define TDC PR.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Overseeing a portfolio of clients with guidance from senior management
  • Offering strategic advice to clients to enhance their PR, digital, and marketing initiatives
  • Providing media with product or company insights
  • Fostering relationships with existing and prospective clients
  • Building connections with key media figures and industry influencers
  • Coordinating with clients on press initiatives and creative projects
  • Engaging with journalists and media representatives
  • Delivering innovative and creative solutions to clients
  • Updating clients on press activities
  • Evaluating PR coverage and digital performance, providing comprehensive reports
  • Communicating effectively with various stakeholders

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of three years' experience in a PR role, either in-house or at an agency, ideally related to the sectors mentioned
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Advanced client management experience to ensure high-quality service
  • Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine interest in media and social media
  • A keen understanding of the design, innovation, and creative industries
  • Creative flair, strategic insight, and innovative thinking
  • Proficient copywriting and marketing skills
  • Commercial awareness and business acumen
