We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team at a school in Plymouth. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality instructional support to classrooms, covering for absent teachers under the guidance of teaching staff.
  • Enhance student learning in various classroom environments, including working with entire classes in the absence of the designated teacher.
  • Assist in organizing, arranging, and executing agreed-upon work assignments and student support programs for individuals or groups.
  • Take charge of advancing and preserving the well-being of students and teenagers in the school.
Requirements
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS on update service (willing to obtain one).
  • Must provide 2 professional references.
  • Fulfill the requirements for higher-level teaching assistants or possess a comparable degree or background.
  • Outstanding literacy and numeracy skills in Maths and English that meet NVQ Level 3 standards.
  • Training in relevant learning strategies, e.g., literacy.
  • A track record of both teamwork and independent initiative.
  • Strong capacity to communicate and build healthy relationships with both adults and children.
  • Aptitude for utilizing necessary tools and technology.
