Job Description:

Orchid Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Care Home Director to lead our nursing home in Norwich. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the home and delivering high-quality care to our elderly residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective care plans to meet the needs of our residents
  • Lead and motivate a team of carers to deliver exceptional care and support
  • Monitor and maintain the health and wellbeing of residents, including those with dementia
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals, including GPs and other multidisciplinary team members
  • Ensure compliance with CQC National Minimum Standards regulations
  • Organize and attend regular staff meetings to promote open communication and collaboration
  • Oversee the overall management of the care home, including budgeting and recruitment
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Care Home Manager or equivalent
  • Hold a relevant qualification, such as RMA or NVQ5
  • Valid NMC PIN (RGN or RMN desirable but not essential)
  • Experience in budgeting and recruitment
  • Passion for elderly care and a commitment to delivering high-quality care
