Job Title: Social Media Officer

As a Social Media Officer at the Motor Neurone Disease Association, you will play a vital role in managing our social media channels, ensuring they are filled with engaging and inspiring content that connects with our diverse audience. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and publish accessible digital content that reflects our brand, while also protecting our reputation and ensuring our channels remain professional, positive, and compliant with GDPR and copyright laws.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain our social media presence across various platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Develop and implement a social media strategy that aligns with our overall marketing objectives and brand tone of voice.
  • Create and curate engaging content that resonates with our audience, including blog posts, videos, and social media posts.
  • Monitor and respond to social media engagement, including comments, messages, and reviews.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure coordinated and effective social media activities.
  • Provide support and training to staff and volunteers in their use of social media.
  • Regularly monitor social media analytics to measure campaign success and provide valuable insights for future planning.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience managing social media platforms in a professional setting, both through organic and paid techniques.
  • Excellent written communication skills to create engaging content that speaks to diverse audiences while maintaining our brand's tone of voice.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support graphic design and video editing.
  • Knowledge of digital accessibility and an awareness of social media trends.
  • Comfortable using data to influence future planning and a broad understanding of safeguarding in digital spaces.
