Job Title: Operations Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Operations Coordinator to join our team at The Pallet Network (TPN). As an Operations Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the TPN operations team by providing administrative assistance, maintaining effective communication with partners and departments, and ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with all partners and departments.
  • Maintain effective communication and relationships with all other departments.
  • Carry out partner requests where appropriate by telephone and email.
  • Mediate between partners in disagreement, ensuring actions are taken in accordance with the TPN operation manual.
  • Assist members in arranging overspill vehicles and couriers where necessary.
  • Carry out varied administrative duties.
  • Deal with problems promptly, exploring all options before organizing couriers.
  • Update the hub information board with relevant comments concerning the day's operation.
  • Ensure the handover from the Night Manager is acted upon and compile a handover to the Night Shift of any relevant points applicable to the night's operation.
  • Mediate on disputes between partners, ensuring action is taken in accordance with the rules of the network as laid down in the manual.
  • Refer unresolved or escalated problems to the Team Leader/Line Manager.
  • Raise company Purchase Orders when required.
  • Maintain good working relationships with all partners and colleagues, liaising fairly and without favoritism.
  • Ensure handovers between day and night shifts are concise and understood.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages and ability to learn bespoke systems.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • High level of communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High level of customer service skills.
  • Ability to investigate and problem-solve.
