We are seeking a highly skilled Service Avoidance Expert and Trainer to join our Health and Safety team at MWH Treatment. As a key member of our Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) team, you will play a crucial role in supporting and embedding our service avoidance strategy across the Severn Trent Region.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Collaborate with site teams to develop and implement local service avoidance plans that promote our 'Vac Ex as first principal' approach.
- Conduct competency assessments for new employees and subcontractors in the use of service avoidance equipment, ensuring they meet industry standards.
- Provide incident investigation support to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Champion innovation and best practice in Service Avoidance, staying up-to-date with industry developments and advancements.
- Review and analyze Cat & Genny usage data to identify training needs and provide coaching and upskilling opportunities.
- Deliver coaching and mentoring on safe dig practices to ensure our workforce has the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties safely and efficiently.
**Requirements:**
- Proven experience in Service Avoidance and a strong understanding of industry best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with site teams and other stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze data and identify areas for improvement, with a focus on implementing corrective actions.
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills, with the ability to deliver training and development programs.
