Job Title: Production Operative (Night Shift)

Company: Brighter Foods

Hours: 4 on 4 off shift pattern

Salary/Pay Rate: £14.76 P/H (Base rate £ Night Allowance £3.14)

Location: Brighter Foods, Pendre Industrial Estate, Tywyn LL36 9LW

Brighter Foods is an award-winning food manufacturer located in Tywyn, nestled between the scenic Snowdonia Mountain range and the beautiful beaches of mid Wales. Since our inception in 2014, we have brought experience, resources, and talent to the thriving sector of food manufacturing, catering to millions of consumers seeking the finest ingredients, superb taste, and texture in a healthy snack bar.

Description of role

This role will encompass all aspects of Production Operations from weighing up ingredients for processing to palleting finished product and all operations in between. Completing tasks to maximum efficiency while maintaining low levels of waste, maximizing outputs, working safely, and ensuring high quality standards. Adopting a 'clean as you go' policy at all times and adhering to the BRC standard.

Main Responsibilities

  • Complete all tasks in the correct & most efficient manner
  • Always seek to minimize waste & maximize outputs while achieving the best quality possible
  • Comply with company 'clean as you go' policy
  • Work within industry Health & Safety Standards
  • Comply with all food safety requirements and company food safety policies and practices
  • Provide suggestions on ways of improving efficiency and reducing waste
  • Complete all production paperwork fully and correctly as required
  • Work effectively as part of a team while maintaining the capability to function individually
  • Carry out any reasonable request
  • Respect and value other members of staff to create a positive working environment

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience in a FMCG (Fast moving consumer goods) environment would be beneficial but not essential
  • Good levels of literacy & numeracy will be required for completion of process paperwork
  • Food Safety Level 2 qualification (advantageous)
  • Health and Safety Level 2 qualification (advantageous)
