About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Graduate Energy Data Steward. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the development of a comprehensive information discovery resource focused on energy research data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the research data ingest process, ensuring data is well-described and reusable.
  • Routinely add new content and subject information to the Energy Data Centre.
  • Undertake one-off projects to ensure the quality of metadata held in the system is good and self-consistent.
  • Review and update internal metadata standards and policy as required.
  • Research Data Management Planning Support: run the process to ensure all UKERC projects have data management plans and ensure they are updated.
Requirements
  • Achieved, or be on course to achieve, a minimum 2:1 degree in a relevant field of study.
  • Have the right to live and work in the UK at the time of starting employment.
  • Good communication skills and ability to build positive working relationships with a range of colleagues at different levels of seniority.
  • Familiarity with computer applications such as word processors and spreadsheets.
  • Effective management of digital objects, either in a personal or educational setting.
