This role presents an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Senior Nursing Professional to join a state-of-the-art healthcare facility. The position involves caring for elderly patients who are experiencing acute health issues, often with complex underlying conditions. This role offers numerous learning opportunities, particularly for those patients identified as 'frail' or with cognitive challenges.
As part of our established Multi-Disciplinary Teams, you will collaborate with consultants, junior medical staff, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and dedicated flow coordinators, all focused on enhancing patient care and experience.

Main Responsibilities
- Deliver effective, safe, and evidence-based patient care in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code of Conduct.
- Conduct assessments, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.
- Participate in the admissions and transfers process and coordinate discharges according to organizational policies.
- Engage in patient and family education, utilizing available resources.
- Administer prescribed medications safely and in accordance with established protocols.
- Maintain safe practices regarding patient handling and adhere to infection prevention guidelines.
- Document patient care accurately in compliance with national and organizational policies.
Qualifications
Essential Criteria
- Registered General Nurse with current NMC registration or nearing qualification.
- Demonstrated commitment to personal development in understanding equality and diversity issues.
- Experience in promoting diversity in previous roles.
