Senior Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Nurse to join our team at Sussex Cancer Centre and Princess Royal Hospital. As a Senior Nurse, you will be responsible for providing expert care and support to patients undergoing Systematic Anti-Cancer Treatment (SACT) at both sites.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in oncology nursing and experience in supervising and educating junior staff. You will be responsible for managing a clinical area on the SACT unit, providing highly skilled nursing care to patients, and ensuring the smooth running of the service.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate a clinical area on the SACT unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Provide highly skilled nursing care to patients undergoing SACT, including the administration of treatments and management of acute reactions.
- Supervise and educate junior staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the delivery of comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
- NMC registration and SACT qualification.
- Experience in supervising and educating junior staff.
- Leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
