Behaviour Mentor Opportunity

We are seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join our team at a fantastic secondary school for children with SEMH needs in the London Borough of Greenwich. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work 1:1 with a student with challenging behaviour who needs your support.

Requirements
  • Experience working with challenging behaviour, preferably in a PRU or SEMH school, or as a Pastoral Officer in a school or Youth Worker.
  • Ability to work with pupils with physically and emotionally challenging behaviour.
  • Resilient personality and ability to build rapport quickly with staff and students.
  • De-escalation training would be beneficial, but the school provides specialised training.
  • Interest in mental health and seeing behaviour as a form of communication.
