About the Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistants to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a long-term, full-time position with the potential for permanent roles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them access the curriculum and engage in learning.
  • Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering tailored lessons for pupils with a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, and emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional resilience, drawing on your experience with challenging behaviours.
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with students, acting as a positive role model.
  • Support pupils' social, emotional, and personal development, creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.
About You:
  • Experience working with young people from a youth work, young offenders, or similar background is essential.
  • A strong, empathetic approach to managing challenging behaviour.
  • Ability to work full-time (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM).
  • A passion for helping young people overcome barriers to learning and succeed.
  • Patience, resilience, and the ability to adapt to different situations.
