Assistant Management Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Management Accountant to join our finance team at Jane Gorse Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing financial support and guidance to our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly management accounts and cost analysis.
  • Ensure the maintenance and control of the fixed asset register, including accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of VAT returns and National Statistics.
  • Liaise with external auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient audit process.
  • Assist the Financial Controller with ad-hoc projects to drive efficiencies and improve financial control.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working towards a professional accountancy qualification (CIMA/ACCA).
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
