About the Role

The Warehouse Team Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective management of warehouse operations at Booker Group.

As a key member of the site management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth running of daily warehouse operations and ensuring the required level of service is provided to customers at all times.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the receiving, storing, picking, and dispatch of goods are carried out in the correct manner to agreed productivity levels and within budgetary constraints.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment through effective team management.
  • Leading a team of warehouse operatives and providing guidance, training, and coaching to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their roles effectively.
  • Using the MS Office suite to create reports, manage formal absence, and conduct reviews and disciplinary processes.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Working knowledge of the warehouse function within the FMCG distribution industry.
  • Working knowledge of the business and operational aspects of supervising a depot warehouse operation.
  • Excellent communication skills to manage, train, and coach colleagues.
  • Computer skills to use the MS Office suite effectively.
