Position Overview: The Quality Assurance Engineer will engage in a dynamic environment, collaborating closely with the Inspection and Quality Assurance teams. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the integrity of tooling and manufacturing processes is upheld while meticulously inspecting and verifying product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections of iron and steel castings to uphold stringent quality standards.
  • Utilize metrology equipment, including 3D scanning and software, to assess product specifications.
  • Employ Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and various inspection instruments to evaluate both raw and finished castings.
  • Operate CAD software to assist in quality assessments.
  • Interpret engineering drawings to ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Verify that final products meet contractual obligations.
  • Participate in project initiatives to enhance quality processes.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Experience in machining is considered beneficial.
  • Familiarity with inspection references and standards.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week

Additional Skills:

  • Experience with 3D scanning equipment is advantageous.
  • Ability to follow detailed inspection protocols.
