About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Rowlands Pharmacy. As an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and safety of medication dispensing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the entire dispensing process, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Check and prepare medication orders, verifying accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure the safe handling and distribution of pharmaceuticals, maintaining a high level of quality control.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers and healthcare professionals, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Deliver courteous and effective customer service, responding to customer inquiries and concerns.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Complete and maintain accurate administrative records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the inventory of pharmaceutical stock and equipment, monitoring expiration dates and maintaining adequate stock levels.
  • Receive, store, and issue medications and other supplies, ensuring accurate tracking and inventory management.
  • Provide healthcare advice and signposting to customers, directing them to appropriate resources when necessary.
Requirements
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • NVQ3 qualification.
  • Completion of the additional accuracy checking course in Pharmacy Services or an accredited equivalent qualification.
  • Prior experience in a customer-focused environment, with a passion for healthcare.
