Job Summary:
Rise Resourcing is seeking an experienced Merchandising Specialist to join our team in a well-established retail company based in the Midlands. As a key member of the Merchandising team, you will be responsible for implementing and managing the multi-channel merchandising strategy for your own product area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a customer-centric category range strategy to drive sales and revenue growth.
- Manage the category budget and ensure effective allocation of resources.
- Accurately forecast demand, OTB, returns, and margin to optimize WSSI.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal teams to continuously develop and optimize product lines.
- Monitor market and competitor activity to stay ahead of the competition.
Working Relationships:
- Collaborate with warehousing, shipping, finance, and sales teams to optimize sales and margin.
- Work closely with internal teams to improve product forecasting and sales performance.
- Contribute to supplier review processes and highlight areas for improvement.
- Take ownership of your area and address any category issues that arise.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in retail merchandising is essential.
- Good level of education is required.
- Highly accurate with a good attention to detail.
- Ability to manage a varied workload.
- High commercial awareness.
- Strong numerical skills with the ability to analyze data.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise/influence effectively at all levels.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office products, specifically Excel.
