About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at Arnfield Care Ltd. As a key member of our education staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our vulnerable young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, tailored learning and teaching under the guidance of senior education staff.
  • Contribute to the personalized nature of our education provision by communicating regularly with the education team and care staff about each pupil's progress and needs.
  • Work across multiple sites and in the local and wider community as part of our varied education offer.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of our children and young people at all times.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification (Level 3 qualification and above).
  • Have a specialism or demonstrable experience in supporting the wider KS2 curriculum.
  • Have experience of engaging reluctant learners and dealing with challenging behavior.
  • Have an innate ability to relate to young people.
  • Understand the national curriculum and other relevant learning programs.
  • Have a proven ability to build relationships with a variety of colleagues and external parties.
  • Be able to use a variety of equipment, such as practical science kit and art materials.
  • Be eligible to work in the UK and have a full, valid manual driving license.
