Hawk 3 Talent Solutions is seeking a skilled Procurement Engineer to oversee the purchasing of technical goods and services.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate closely with suppliers and subcontractors to expedite deliveries, ensuring that promised shipment dates are met and disruptions to our production schedule are minimised.
- Comply with the Management System requirements for Health and Safety, ensuring others work to company policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with the management systems requirement for the Environment and Quality by working to company policies and procedures.
- Identify and source components based on quality and price.
- Assist in building a supplier database to support the business.
- Cultivate and sustain professional relationships with our suppliers and subcontractors to continuously enhance cost-effectiveness, quality, and continuity of supply.
- A proven background in buying electrical and mechanical components in the engineering or manufacturing sector.
- Professional Certifications / Member of CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply).
- Proficiency in IT systems, knowledge of SAP would be an advantage but not essential.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and maintain professionalism, particularly during urgent and critical procurement situations.
- It would be beneficial to be able to read engineering drawings or BOM and identify critical aspects of a specification.
- Ability to provide quality information within deadlines.
- Full-time, 40 hours per week, with office hours between 8.30 am and 5 pm Monday to Friday.
- ~24 days holiday + bank holidays, free parking, death in service benefit, company pension & Employee Wellbeing programme.
