What Are We Seeking?
Due to our ongoing success in the industry, we are in search of a Lead Automation Systems Engineer to become a vital part of our team. You will collaborate with our Engineering department, providing innovative solutions across various sectors while also guiding and mentoring junior engineers.
Your role will encompass the development of control software tailored for diverse industries, leveraging your expertise in PLC programming and SCADA systems to deliver high-quality solutions to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Control Manager, working closely to enhance the DPS Group client portfolio.
- Ensure that all assigned projects adhere to budget constraints, maintaining a strong commercial awareness while engaging with all stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project teams and management to guarantee that the solutions provided are cost-effective, technically sound, and compliant with client specifications and current regulations.
- Deliver Automation and Process Control System Development, including Software and Hardware solutions, along with necessary testing, commissioning, and documentation for all projects.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of project requirements through effective planning and forecasting, adapting to any changes, and managing multiple projects throughout their lifecycle.
- Utilize relevant systems and software, including E-Plan, AutoCAD, SharePoint, and other Microsoft applications as required.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science, or an equivalent qualification in Electrical or Control Systems Engineering.
- A minimum of five years of experience in Control Systems Engineering.
- Proficient in Siemens, Rockwell Automation, and/or Schneider Electric's latest Automation and Process Control Systems.
- Experience with all facets of automation and process control systems, including drives, servo, and AC motors is advantageous.
- Familiarity with DCS systems, including PCS7 and PlantPAx, is a plus.
- Experience with simulation tools such as SIMIT is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Proven track record of completing full turnkey projects from design through programming and commissioning.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with experience in client-facing roles.
