Job Summary
Alexander Steele Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales and Marketing Professional to join our team as a Customer Development Manager. This exciting opportunity is with a world-famous, global spirit company, and the role will focus on On-Trade customers, including account management and business development.
About the Role
- Manage a portfolio of customer accounts to meet and exceed budgeted volume and value sales.
- Grow the distribution of the portfolio and increase the rate of sale within a large and diverse customer base, developing robust business plans and strategies.
- Differentiate the client's brands by creating and executing innovative in-outlet activation, striving to secure maximum visibility of their brands.
- Build and develop relationships with key customers and groups within your territory, becoming the go-to supplier.
- Train and educate outlet team members to deliver perfect serves and collaborate to create new and exciting cocktails, delivering increased revenue.
- Proactively seek out new business opportunities to grow the on-trade customer base.
- Understand and deliver insight to the business on weekly and monthly customer performance, drive action from this, and deliver incremental growth.
- Ensure accurate internal communication to supply team regarding promotions, activations, and changes to distribution.
- Cross-functional working within the UK business and international departments.
- Develop excellent product knowledge and be critically aware of all market trends across beers, wines, and spirits.
Requirements
- Prior experience in sales, marketing, or a related field within the On-Trade.
- Brands drinks experience and use in cocktails would be advantageous.
- Entrepreneurial and ambitious self-starter with the ability to achieve targets and effectively organize own work schedule.
- Strong communication skills (both written and oral).
- Strong commercial/financial understanding, together with intellect and curiosity to interpret performance, recommending appropriate actions.
- Ability to manage projects and multitask while building strong and positive relationships at all levels (internal and external).
- Comfortable managing some key accounts and building strong commercial relationships.
- Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, being proactive and able to handle uncertainty.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Passionate about spirits and the beverage industry.
What We Offer
Alexander Steele Recruitment is offering a competitive salary up to £38K (DOE) + car allowance + 10% bonus.
