About the Role

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Academic Leader in Computing to join our team at Elizabeth School of London. As a Senior Educator in Computer Science, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the academic and professional environment of our institution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Curriculum Development: Provide leadership in the curriculum area, guiding and mentoring colleagues to ensure the highest standards in teaching and learning.
  • Programme Development and Oversight: Take a lead role in the development, management, and review of academic programmes within the curriculum area.
  • Research and Professional Development: Engage in advanced research activities, contributing to the academic profile of ESL and staying at the forefront of developments in the field.
  • Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement: Play a pivotal role in the continuous improvement of teaching and learning standards, implementing, and monitoring the self-assessment process.
  • External Engagement and Partnerships: Strengthen links with external stakeholders, industry partners, and employers to enhance the student experience and foster collaborative initiatives.
Requirements
  • Essential Qualifications: Hold a doctoral qualification in a relevant subject area (Senior Lecturer Only). Master's degree in a relevant subject area (Min requirement for Lecturer).
  • Experience: 4 years' experience in teaching at HE level in the UK (Senior Lecturer). Previous lecturing experience for similar courses at the Higher Education level.
  • Skills: Proficiency in utilising Blackboard/VLEs, MS Teams, and Zoom. Native speaker of English or, if not, have current IELTS 7.5 Academic Certification.
