Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Specialist

SmartPro is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team in Swansea. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our quality system for production, packaging, assembly, and warehouse activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead quality improvement activities in collaboration with department heads
  • Supervise the quality control team to ensure optimal performance
  • Closure of internal and external production quality issues
  • Develop and maintain quality instructions, specifications, and standards
  • Lead supplier quality improvements
  • Support quality training for production staff
  • Act as a quality mentor to the quality control and production teams
  • Perform audits of the production quality system
  • Improve First Off Inspection and Shipping Release process KPIs
  • Risk reduction of assembly, test, packing, and shipping processes
  • Maintain all required records and performance indicators

Requirements:

  • Excellent leadership skills and experience
  • Experience leading a quality function
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, e.g., DMAIC, PDCA, 8D, etc.
  • Related manufacturing/production industry experience
