**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tax Advisory Manager to join our team at Pro Talent. As a key member of our Tax Advisory Group, you will be responsible for providing tax advice to a wide range of clients across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients, ensuring timely and accurate clearance applications and responses to enquiries.
  • Draft comprehensive reports and letters of advice on tax advisory issues, providing clear and concise guidance to clients.
  • Prepare detailed calculations to support tax advice, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal team members to deliver tax advisory services, including attending meetings and providing support as needed.
  • Train and review the work of junior team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality tax advice.
  • Provide support to Directors and Partners in the Tax Advisory Group, contributing to the development of tax strategies and advice.

Examples of Work:

  • Advice and implementation of corporate reconstructions, investor reliefs such as EIS/SEIS, staff incentive schemes.
  • Advising owner-managed businesses on remuneration planning, succession planning, and other tax-related matters.
  • Preparing research and development claims, VAT returns, and SDLT returns for clients.
  • Advising individuals on inheritance tax planning and capital gains tax mitigation.
  • Reviewing corporate tax computations and returns to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex tax concepts to clients.
  • Good IT skills, with proficiency in tax software and systems.
  • Excellent teamwork and organisational skills, including monitoring timetables and budgets.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve tax-related issues.
  • A keen interest in learning and developing tax knowledge, with a commitment to staying up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations.
