We invite applications for the position of Research Associate within the CURE initiative, concentrating on the context of Greece.

The CURE project is a comprehensive 5-year endeavor, initially supported by the ERC Consolidator Grant scheme and endorsed by UKRI, situated at the Department of Law, University of Manchester, under the leadership of Professor Aristea Koukiadaki. The primary aim of this project is to establish a pioneering intellectual framework in comparative labor law by scrutinizing the roles and functions of remedial regulations and institutions.

By reinterpreting remedies as a vital link among various systems, CURE aspires to offer a fresh perspective on labor law frameworks based on their responses to violations, injustices, and wrongs. This extensive project employs a multi-faceted, comparative, and multi-methodological research approach to assess the evolution of the legal concept of remedies across diverse dimensions of the employment relationship in several national contexts, including France, Greece, Poland, Sweden, and the UK.

The methodology for data collection and analysis will encompass both legal doctrinal and empirical techniques, including legal computational and qualitative methods, specifically designed to capture and interpret both internal (legal) and external (political and economic) viewpoints regarding the regulation of the remedial framework in comparative labor law.

We aim to assemble an international team that will collaborate closely to produce highly innovative research in the project's focal areas. The Research Associate will be accountable for the case study of Greece and will be positioned within the Department of Law, part of the School of Social Sciences. The responsibilities will align with the original grant application approved by the ERC and supported by UKRI.
