About the Role
We're seeking a skilled Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of our cafe kitchen. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for managing food stocks, ordering, storage, and preparation while ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations. Your leadership skills will be essential in selecting, training, and developing back-of-house colleagues to deliver high-quality food to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage food stocks, ordering, storage, and preparation in line with food safety and hygiene regulations.
  2. Oversee the kitchen, including routines, processes, change implementation, and gross profit.
  3. Select, train, and develop back-of-house colleagues to deliver timely and tasty food to customers.
  4. Identify new and better ways of working to improve services for customers and colleagues.
  5. Ensure all training, health, and safety, and food safety requirements are met.
  6. Understand key drivers of our service plan and deliver to the required standard.
  7. Step up to oversee the full cafe operation in the absence of the Cafe Manager.

Requirements
  1. A background in hospitality, at supervisory level and above.
  2. People management skills to lead by example and coach in an inclusive manner.
  3. Experience of remaining productive in a high-pressure environment.
  4. A commitment to excellent customer service.
  5. A desire to create an inclusive work environment where colleagues feel respected, safe, and valued.
  6. Good planning and organization skills.
  7. Confidence using your initiative to identify opportunities to improve our ways of working or adapt to different situations.
  8. Excellent communication skills to motivate and support a growing team and work closely with the Cafe Manager.
