Job Title: Volunteer Teaching Assistant for Adults

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Volunteer Teaching Assistant for Adults. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting learners to achieve their goals and progress academically, personally, and through employment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the tutor in the general running of the session, ensuring a smooth and engaging learning experience for learners.
  • Work alongside the tutor to plan and prepare sessions, including classroom set-up and administrative tasks.
  • Facilitate discussions to encourage learners to learn about their local community and how they can contribute to it.
  • Provide administrative support throughout the duration of the course and attend external meetings relating to the course.
Requirements:
  • Good social skills, patience, and the ability to motivate learners to achieve their goals.
  • Active listening skills, consistency, and the ability to form positive relationships with learners.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
