Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Clinical Lead to join our NELFT Community Eating Disorders Service. As a senior practitioner with existing experience in the field of eating disorders, you will play a key role in shaping the ongoing development of the team and building on the growth of recent years.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will work closely with the Service and Strategic Lead, the Team Manager, the Consultant Adult Psychiatrist, and the Clinical Lead (CYP) to ensure the ongoing development and delivery of a comprehensive community Eating Disorder Service for adult patients. You will also be responsible for promoting the development of effective working relationships with key external stakeholders, including colleagues in primary care, from the North East London Adult Eating Disorder Provider Collaborative, the ICBs, and other statutory and voluntary agencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide clinical leadership and quality control, ensuring adherence and competence to evidence-based models in eating disorders.
  2. Set, implement, and evaluate clear, achievable, and measurable objectives for EDS with the service lead, service manager, consultant psychiatrist, and pathway leads.
  3. Have organisational knowledge relating to Trust protocols and procedures and adhere to them, particularly safeguarding.
  4. Ensure and have advanced knowledge of effective risk management at team level by accident/incident reporting, assessing, and controlling risk and ensuring residual risks are added to the Trust register.

Leadership

The post-holder will provide leadership, promote initiative, creativity, and motivation to ensure staff personal development and training needs are addressed. They will also coordinate the implementation of service developments and changes, ensuring all operational implications are considered and disruption to services is minimised.

Clinical Skills

The post-holder will be a post-graduate qualified psychological practitioner or graduate qualified healthcare professional, fully registered with the appropriate professional or regulatory body. They will be responsible for service delivery to clients via NICE-compliant pathways for eating disorders and will assess and develop plans of care to meet the complex needs of clients with a variety of conditions.
