Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor Job Description

Our client, a leading M&E Contractor with over 40 years' experience, is seeking a Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor to manage commercial activities for projects in the Milton Keynes area.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage all commercial activities throughout the design stage, including tender bid compilation and Sub-Contractor engagement.
  2. Collaborate with the design, pre-construction, and estimating team to ensure commercial coverage.
  3. Review and negotiate contracts with clients, with support from senior management.
  4. Negotiate and place Sub-Contract Agreements with specialist Sub-Contractors.
  5. Prepare and submit monthly interim valuations to clients in line with contracts.
  6. Manage, value, and agree variations to contracts.
  7. Carry out valuations, prepare, and submit compliant payment notices to Sub-Contractors.
  8. Manage and agree variations with Sub-Contractors.
  9. Agree final accounts upstream and downstream.
  10. Produce and present monthly financial reports for projects.
Requirements:
  1. Excellent communication skills

  3. Commercial acumen
  4. Ability to work as part of a team supporting both the operational team and peer group.
  5. Manage numerous activities across multiple projects simultaneously.
  6. Enterprising, commercial, and planned approach
  7. Willing and able to take responsibility.
Package:

Up to £75,000 + £4,500 car allowance + 25 days holiday + bank holidays + private medical insurance + life assurance.
