Job Title: Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary:
ARM is seeking a highly skilled Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing all commercial activities throughout the design stage, assisting with compiling the tender bid, and engaging with Sub-Contractors/Suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage commercial activities throughout the design stage, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  2. Assist with compiling the tender bid, including the submission of the AMP (Absolute Maximum Price) construction of the project.
  3. Engage with Sub-Contractors/Suppliers during the design stage, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  4. Work closely with our design, pre-construction, and estimating team to ensure commercial coverage.
  5. Review and negotiate the Contract with our Client, with support from the senior management team.
  6. Negotiate and Contract placement of the Sub-Contract Agreements with our specialist Sub-Contractors.
  7. Prepare and submit monthly interim valuations to our Client in line with our Contract.
  8. Manage, value, and agree variations to the Contract.
  9. Carry out the valuation, preparation, and submission of compliant payment notices to our Sub-Contractors in accordance with the Sub-Contract Agreement.
  10. Manage and agree variations with our Sub-Contractors.
  11. Agree final accounts upstream and downstream.
  12. Produce and present financial reports for the project in line with the company timetable.
  13. Review and understand the programme, ensuring correct contractual notices are issued as required by the Contract.

Requirements:

  5. Manage numerous activities across a number of projects simultaneously
  6. Outgoing personality essential for dealing directly with clients and their design teams
  7. Strong negotiation skills
  8. Flexibility regarding working across all areas of the business, and hours to meet the requirements of this challenging position
  9. Enterprising, commercial, and planned approach
  10. Willing and able to take responsibility
  11. Ability to add value to the role, department, and company as a whole
