About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Octavius Infrastructure, a leading civil engineering organisation in the UK. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Manage the financial and contractual performance of projects, ensuring profit targets and efficiency savings are achieved.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee projects' financial performance, adhering to contractual timescales and administering change control.
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage risks and opportunities effectively, ensuring compliance with assurance processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Commercial Management: Conduct compliant procurement processes and selections, dealing with commercial queries and advising on legal matters.
  • Supply Chain Management: Effectively manage the Supply Chain and conduct audits, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Monitor project progress, maintain accurate financial logs, and prepare reports to inform business decisions.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven success in a Quantity Surveying role, preferably in a civil engineering environment, with experience in Highways projects.
  • Qualifications: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent), with professional membership (e.g., RICS, CICES) and CSCS card (desirable).
  • Skills: IT proficiency and familiarity with cost management software, knowledge of cost performance monitoring and contract administration.
